WHITE COLLAR BOXING®

White Collar Boxing® is a registered trademark service program originated by Australian Academy of Boxing personnel prior to 1986 to provide a controlled, lighter less physically demanding, highly skilled boxing and fitness program. In 1987 the idea to form an organisational vehicle to further develop boxing type services than had ever been previously available began to take shape and on January the 24th 1990 the Australian Academy of Boxing came into being to Design, Define, Develop, and Provide, original boxing orientated sports and fitness services that also included 'Boxacise®(Boxercise)' the boxing and exercise reflex co-ordination and fitness training registered trademark service. Over the last two decades the Australian Academy of Boxing sports and fitness concepts have been under continued development through workshops competitions, and courses, and made available to the public through Australian Academy of Boxing qualified coaches and licensed National Network Centres. Whilst 'Boxacise(Boxercise)' focuses on building structural co-ordination skills and fitness, 'White Collar Boxing' is to provide participants with a safer controlled, highly skilful boxing and fitness platform. This has been successfully accomplished by practical utilisation of the 'Excessive Punching Rule'© that controls the power intensity of contests by penalising boxers throwing excessively powerful punches. 'White Collar Boxing' bouts are 'Specialised Group 2 competition training contests that utilise the 'Excessive Punching Rule'© by penalising a boxer for throwing any punch to the head or body of an opponent that in the estimation of the referee could if landed make them lose defence capability or knock them down. The 'Excessive Punching Rule'© effectively exiles Knockouts as a way of winning a contest and the Rules practical application in combination with the scoring system make for action packed bouts as boxers scientifically strive to achieve points scoring supremacy instead of loading up on punches to the physical detriment of their opponents.

The Australian Academy of Boxing provides general and personal training sessions, plus coach accreditation courses, and workshops for both 'Boxacise(Boxercise)' and 'White Collar Boxing'.
The Boxacise Level 1 Accreditation Course attendance is a prerequisite to attaining A.A.B. Golden Gloves/White Collar Boxing Level 1 Accreditation.
